It's a BEAUTIFUL DAY in Hawaii Nei--sun shining but not-too-hot-it was 65 this morning. Most of the leftovers are eaten (yay!) and I'm planning to get rid of all the sweets tomorrow when the Smith Mob comes over--some extra caramel apples and that sort of thing.
Went to Times just a bit ago and it was full of shoppers getting ready for tonight and tomorrow's festivities. Everyone in good spirits. I'm thinking, everyone is going to go on a diet on Monday or like those of us who attend Inspire Church, we'll be fasting for two weeks until the 15th. I couldn't bring myself to buy any more sweets but instead purchased veggies to roast and have on hand for our veggie pizzas that we've come to love. Will be fasting from too many youtubes & shopping at Ross, buying paper supplies :( (it's got to be done). No sugar, no beef or pork, cappucino & chocolate.
Lindsey & Marc are spending the rest of 2016 in the Big Apple & will return tomorrow. Cliff feeling better after his Christmas bronchitis. He's getting the 'track' ready around the house for the remote control car derby with the guys. I think he's got a list for me to make a checkered flag, scoreboard... I'm going to do some planner stuff with the ladies and tie dye with the kiddos.
Watched this looongggg Reset Girl Vision Board YouTube today and got many ideas to organize and plan, get my life in order. I know that I am ever intrigued with thoughts and ways to do this and that but don't actually accomplish much. See if anything she says makes sense to you.
I used to think that I didn't like CHANGE! It scared me to think of something new or unfamiliar. I remember a quote about the inevitability of change. But as one who has placed herself in the hands of the Creator, I am assured that change is good and with Him leading and guiding, is the safest and best place to be.
I am looking forward to a New Year, a new beginning, being able to reset some things in my life that need to go to make way for new challenges and opportunities to bless and be blessed.
Here's a quote from CS Lewis--
"You are never TOO OLD to set another goal or dream a new dream"
Keep Dreaming,
chiyo
Woo Hoo! Yay! Yippee!
Loving new challenges for me and leaving the success part to God :)
It has occurred to me that I NEED/MUST share in some way--text/e-mail/phone call/in person/journal/blog/write down what I've learned, my hopes.
For Christmas Day, I forewarned the Smith Peeps that we would have a 'Family Project'. I had prepared a stamped card on which they were to write their 'Hopes, Dreams or Goals for the Future'. They were to leave the largest box open for their photo that would be taken and printed on my Canon Selphy printer and decorate with washi tape provided & stickers. I am pleased by how it turned out. Will include pics on the next post.
