Hubby is at the nearby home improvement store, a hurricane is coming, it's name is Lester and we are in preparation mode.  The sky is a pretty shade of blue, birds are singing and the thermometer on my clock says it's 77 degrees at 10 am.

                                     photo taken August 6, 2014

Always wanting to be prepared for the worst and praying for the best, he has devised a system of attaching plywood over the windows with screws not nails. When photo taken, he had wanted to make his storm windows but not enough time then.  So today is the day.

Last night, when we went to the get plywood at Home Depot, my help was needed--not just to keep him company.  Had to help load the sheets on to the cart and then load on to the truck.  As we had started loading, this helper can not move as fast as the boss so it must have appeared that I was...struggling.

Anyway, several young men approached me and said "Aunty, you need help?" me: yeah, thanks ah?
Finished the load and they smiled and I thanked them plenty.  Saw their dad/uncle/grandpa and thanked him as well.  I think he sent them to bless us.

me: what school do you go to?
boy: Anuenue
me: where's that?
boy: Palolo, it's an immersion school.
me: Awright, AHE STREET!
The one kid gave me a hug.

GRATEFUL!  It's good to be old, what's the alternative?

Always wanting to be prepared for the worst and pray for the best, he has devised a system of attaching plywood over the windows--screws not nails.  The last time we did this, was two years ago and he thought of it then but didn't have the time to carry it out.

Last night, when we went to get the plywood (in the dark) at Home Depot, my help was needed.  As we were loading the truck, several young men approached me and said, "Aunty, you need help?"  I said thank you so much and they finished loading.  Saw Dad/uncle/grandpa and thanked him as well.  I think he sent them to bless us.  What a wonderful example of blessing!  I asked them where they went to school and they said Anuenue and I said, where's that?  And they said Palolo.  me:yay Ahe Street!  They gave me hugs and went on their way.
