MAY DAY IS LEI DAY IN HAWAII!

It's MAY DAY!  LEI DAY IN HAWAII!!!  2022

I always loved May Day in school.  The preparation and practice for the dances we did, the new (maybe) muu muu I might get; the songs we would sing and the program where we would perform with our friends for our parents and community.  The fragrance of flowers, leis, the reprieve from school work... happy, carefree days.

2022! Year of the Tiger!

So a year has gone by since my last post 😉but that's okay, it's a New Year with new opportunities and ways to 'get caught up'.

Maybe first I should look back to review & recap some about 2020 and 2021 to see where I/we've been.

As years go, 2019 ended great we had our newest granddaughter Kyle Kanoemakalii Rocheleau born in August.  My word for the year was DECLARE.

We looked forward in 2020 to multiple events: our 50th anniversary in August; Austin's graduation in May from my alma mater, Leilehua!  So proud that he led the band at the 2018 graduation when my classmates from Class of '68 (50 years) walked with the graduates of that year; my 70th birthday in November; maybe a class reunion? cause we like to get together; holidays where we did certain things, ate certain foods, saw and hugged certain faces...
